Glenn Gear (b. 1970, Corner Brook, NL) is an Indigiqueer filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist of Inuit and settler descent currently living in Montreal. He is originally from Newfoundland and has family ties to the homeland of Nunatsiavut. His practice is grounded in a research creation methodology shaped by Inuit and Indigenous ways of knowing, often employing the use of animation, photo archives, painting, and beading. For his commissioned RBC Pride T-shirt, The Drum Dancers, Gear employs his unique artistic style to represent love through the rhythm of hearts and drums beating in unison.
